Dave has been on the scene just under two years and has been
listening to Dance music for around ten years, his love for
House music really started after visiting the madness that is
Ibiza twice and then further realised how much more House music
means to him.
Dave then branched into Nottingham's scene in 2005 after throwing
himself into the deep end of Dj-ing the year before. He immediately
purchased two Technics 1210 MK2's and a Pioneer mixer in 2004
and then mixed constantly for about six months. After mixing
himself into a frenzy, he felt he needed to know more about
Dance Music as a whole. So he then enrolled himself on a DJ
course at his local college, which opened his eyes to a lot
of things that are vital in becoming a successful DJ. The next
few months would be one of the most interesting parts of Dave's
DJ carer, he managed to start a good friendship with the likes
of another local DJ, Andy Bunney. With having the same goals
and ideas in place Dave and Andy decided that they would put
on a brand new club night in the area, the night that was created
was called Touch™ www.touchclubbing.com
which began at The Lost Weekend in February, 2006.
Touch™ has grown so much over the past months gaining residencies
at various bars and clubs in Nottingham (Bluu Bar, Image Bar,
Saltwater, Tonic & Stealth Nightclub) and also aquiring future
nights in Derby and Leicester. It is fast becoming a core brand
in the rapid, ever growing House music scene.
The past few months has also been the busiest time for Dave
as a DJ and a Promoter, with putting on Touch club nights in
and around the midlands and creating new spin off night from
the Touch™ brand (Housedegree in Nottingham), playing along
side some of the most rated and respected artists in the Dj
world (Soul central, Lenny Fontana, Paul Farris, Audiowhores,
Deepgroove, Steve Porter, Kid Massive, Soulbasics, Danny Lewis,
Euan Mitchell & Dom Navarra) to name a few. Relentless work
and promotion has helped Dave gain two new residencies with
Saltwater & Tonic in Nottingham. Dave is also a big player in
the ever popular Online Radio movement, starting at stations
like :- Soul connection FM, Warrior FM, Mix The groove and now
at his current Online Radio residency with Soul Satellite www.soul-satellite.com.
Dave Cross has proved to have what it takes to succeed in this
industry. His ambitious and charismatic personality has played
an important role in elevating his status. This has led him
to win crowds over with his DAZZLING music selection.
