Matt McKillop and Owen Taylor devised DeepCitySoul out of their necessity and love for house music, which has subsequently provided them the platform to associate with some of the most prolific artists and DJs around today.

Influenced primarily by Masters at Work,Llorca, Dennis Ferrer, Kerri Chandler and Blaze, the DeepCitySoul productions deliver a distinctive sound, astutely blending aspects of soul and jazz with exceptional house and funk rhythms,finding regular support from the likes of Tony Humphries, Miguel Migs and Dimitri from Paris.Being a relatively fresh brand in the house music scene, their discography already includes releases on Universe Media,Further Recordings, Moneypennys Music, Pacha Multimedia, Midnight Material and has provided them with the opportunity to work with the likes of Pete Tong, Timmy Vegas, Graeme Park, Kenny Thomas, Peyton and Shola Ama to name only a few.

Owen Taylor is relatively young considering the success he has achieved. Previous to forming DeepCitySoul, Owen had been producing for various independent labels and promoting events for Godskitchen. Being classically trained and adept in a number of instruments (Piano, Drums, Clarinet, Saxophone), Owen brings essential ingredients to the sound of DeepCitySoul. Matt McKillop's passion for house music was exposed when his event, Boogie Wonderland established itself. It ran for 8 years and toured across his home country, Australia, cramming venues of 1500+ on a weekly basis. Matt has been involved in production and remixing since settling in the UK, working as the A & R representative for Further Recordings since 2001. He also works with a number of producers under a variety of familiar names in house music, including DropFunkDialect and Nowheremen.

Representing themselves and the brand DeepCitySoul, Matt and Owen have a wealth of experience in the house music industry. As DJs they have procreated their individual sounds that animate dance floors across the globe. DJing as the collective, DeepCitySoul, they have featured alongside Louie Vega, DJ Spen, Joey Negro,Karizma, Charles Webster,Sir Piers, Alistair Whitehead, Kklass and Bert Bevans for established events such as NV (the Midlands biggest after-party),Global Gathering, Godskitchen, The Factory, Pacha, Chuff Chuff, Miss Moneypennys, Ministry Of Sound, El Devino (Ibiza), The Garden Party (Croatia) and now running their own events, House is Home, Further and Like Minded alongside a string of UK residencies.
